Mozambique

Mozambique stretches along the blue waters of the Indian Ocean and borders South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Tanzania. Cities such as Maputo and the port of Beira still possess a colonial charm and heavy Portuguese influence.

Visitors to Mozambique are attracted to the white beaches and the islands off the coast. Small resorts and private homes on the archipelagos of Bazaruto and Quirimbas are the perfect places to relax and unwind after a safari in neighboring countries. Stunning coral reefs surround the archipelagos, allowing visitors to spend their days snorkeling or diving the reef to view Indo-Pacific marine life. Whales are also plentiful in this area. This unspoiled paradise offers some of the best deep-sea fishing and saltwater fly-fishing in Africa. While most of the year is dry, periodic rains occur from January to March.
