Coronation Island

Part of the South Orkney Islands, the port on the south coast of remote Coronation Island is a favored nesting ground for several species of Antarctic seabirds. It is also the site of a large rookery of Adelie penguins, named after the wife of the great French explorer, Dumont d'Urville.
