Travelers Focusing on Value When Planning Vacations

Cutting back the number of days spent on vacation, reducing expenses on entertainment, food and beverage, and researching travel on the Internet are a few of the changes consumers are making to the way they plan travel.

HOUSTON, TEXAS—October 22, 2009— Vacationers are planning trips based on the value they get for their travel dollar and curbing their spend by seeking package vacations, according to FROSCH, a premier travel management company.

According to the U.S. Travel Association's January 2009 poll, consumers are most likely to plan vacations with high dollar value as their primary goal. Seventy-six percent of travelers plan to book a package vacation to save money, fifty-eight percent to comparison shop on the Internet, and sixty-seven percent to stay fewer nights and spend less on entertainment, food and beverage.

According to Lara Leibman, Senior Vice President of FROSCH, “Vacation packages save time for travelers, as well as provide the best value for their money. FROSCH works with travelers to plan affordable luxury trips tailored to their needs and tastes.”

Classic Vacations, one of FROSCH's preferred partners, specializes in tailored luxury travel and is meeting travelers' demands for value vacations. For example, Classic Vacations has partnered with Sol Melia-Paradisus Hotels and Resorts to offer special rates at premier hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. For families, Sol Melia-Paradisus offers its Family Concierge service, including personal attention for families who purchase all-inclusive vacations.

“With value pricing, single travelers and families can visit these countries for a family reunion, summer vacation, or honeymoon and experience the wonders of these cultures without breaking the bank,” says Leibman. “Classic Vacations strives to find the best rates on airfare, accommodations, and activities to create a tailored luxury trip that is every traveler's dream while affordable at the same time.”
