New York City: Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island
Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty was a gift of international friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States.  It is one of the most universal symbols of political freedom and democracy.  The views of the Statue from the water are breathtaking and reminiscent of what immigrants first saw entering New York Harbor.

Ellis Island
Ellis Island opened in 1892 and was the entry point for European immigrants for more than 60 years.  Twelve million people passed through the halls that are now the historical Ellis Island Immigration Museum.  Walk through the Great Hall as the new Americans once did – ancestors of more than half of the US population.  You can search for your family surname on the American Immigrant wall of Honor.  With over 600,000 entries, it is the longest wall of names in the world.

New York City: Brooklyn Essential Walking Tour - 4 Hours

Brooklyn Essential Walking Tour

Highlights:

Brooklyn Bridge - Opened in 1883 after thirteen years of construction and was built across the East River to connect Manhattan with the then-rural city of Brooklyn. From the beginning, the bridge’s designer, John A. Roebling, planned not just a structure of convenience, but a great work of art that would stand the test of time. The Brooklyn Bridge is a fully accessible bridge, with a center lane above traffic open to bicycle and pedestrian traffic. Your fully guided tour takes you on a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge; a walk taken every day by commuters and tourists, and during times of crisis, such as after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on 9/11. Brooklyn Heights- One of the best-kept secrets of the City of New York is Brooklyn Heights, a beautiful district in Brooklyn. Some historians call it one of the first suburbs in the United States. Brooklyn Heights is unique as it radiates a hometown atmosphere while situated right next door to one of the most recognizable cityscapes in the world. In 1964, Brooklyn Heights was the first area designated as a New York City Historic District. You will understand why as you see Federal style homes built in the 1820s, brick and brownstone homes from the 1830s and 1840s, and two Italianate mansions that overlook Pierrepont Street. DUMBO- DUMBO’s name is an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, and the span gives the creatively oriented neighborhood much of its character—as do cobblestone streets and dramatic architecture left over from its industrial days. Today, DUMBO features art galleries, independent bookshops, boutiques, confectionaries, and waterfront parks where locals and tourists thrive. DUMBO offers some of the best photo ops including the Empire State Building framed by the Manhattan Bridge.

  • 4-Hours with a private guide.

  • Guests will walk across the Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan side where they will learn the history and view the spectacular skyline. Guests will then venture into Brooklyn Heights which is a posh residential area filled with elegant brownstones. Here, guests will learn about the culture and the history of the area which is often referred to as the first suburb in the United States. Guests will also visit the waterfront park before heading to DUMBO and then back to Manhattan.

  • During the tour you may also see: Dumbo Art Galleries, views of Lady Liberty, Manhattan Bridge and Empire State Building (indoor entrance tickets are not included for any locations).
  • All stops, timing and inclusions of the tour are dependent on traffic and weather conditions.

New York City: SoHo
Like most of the developing city in the early years, SoHo (which stands for South of Houston Street – and by the way, it’s pronounced How-ston) started as a small village.  Over time, the neighborhood went from the wealthiest, to the most industrial, to a slum called “Hell’s 100 acres.”  Now it is back to trendy again.  SoHo is one of the most stylish neighborhoods in New York City, with clues of its past around every corner.  Several of its cast iron buildings built in the mid-1800s still stand.  As you explore the area, you will get the feel of its many cobblestone streets.  When artists arrived in SoHo in the 1970s, they began the revival of the neighborhood.  You’ll visit two of SoHo’s famed art galleries, including the Earth Room.  Next to SoHo is NoLIta – which is Northern Little Italy.  The area is home to the old St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  One story in particular your guide will impart is the 1799 murder of Elma Sands, the “Ghost of Spring Street.”

New York City: The Origins of NYC Sightseeing Program
New York traces its rich history to Lower Manhattan, the meeting point of the Hudson River and the East River.  Originally named Nieuw (New) Amsterdam, New York City began as a small Dutch settlement in what is now known as Lower Manhattan.  Broadway, which was then called Heere Straat (Gentleman Street), was nothing but a small road.  Wall Street actually had a wall back in 1653 to protect the settlers from attacks.  As the city grew, so did the nation.  New York was the first capital of the United States and the spot where George Washington was inaugurated is marked by his statue.  Over the years, Lower Manhattan has become the financial capital of the world.  Today, the streets are teeming with people and filled with stories of New York’s past, present, and future.  As you explore Lower Manhattan with your guide, you’ll see the 9/11 Memorial, St. Paul’s Chapel, Battery Park, and Trinity Church as you learn about the history of the Native Americans, Dutch, and English.

New York City: A Cultural Walk Through Little Italy and Chinatown - 4 Hours

Highlights:

There are numerous ethnic groups in New York City, but only two have neighborhoods named after them: one is Little Italy, and the other is Chinatown. Little Italy was formed in the late 1800s as millions of Italian immigrants streamed into the United States. And although nowadays you do not hear much Italian on the street, there are still old school establishments that carry on the traditions. Chinatown on the other hand is still growing and when you enter it, it is like being transported to another country. All the signs are in Chinese, the languages spoken are all dialects of Chinese, the produce and food shops sell many items you will not recognize. It is a submersion into another culture. Join your guide on this walking tour and find out what is below the surface that makes both these neighborhoods even more unique and intriguing.

  • Meet your guide on the corner of Lafayette and Broome Street in Little Italy.

  • Walk the neighborhood including Mulberry Street, Mott Street, Canal Street, Five Points, Mahayana Buddhist Temple, Columbus Park, Chatham Square, First Shearith Israel Graveyard.

New York City: Statue of Liberty Tour & Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial Museum - 8 Hours

Statue of Liberty Tour & Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial MuseumHighlights:

We are excited to share that we’ve brought together three attractions that tell the history - both the good and the bad - of Lower Manhattan into one complete package with our Statue of Liberty Tour & Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial Museum experience.

  • Statue of Liberty: For as long as she's been standing over New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty is synonymous with New York City. It is the number one landmark that people think of when they think of the city and the one place most people head to as first-time visitors.

  • Ellis Island: Ellis Island is synonymous with Lady Liberty. And for most people, when taking the ferry over to Liberty Island, a stop at Ellis Island is a must.

  • 9/11 Memorial & Museum: Since its opening in 2014, the 9/11 Memorial Museum has also become a top ten must-see, along with the 9/11 Memorial itself.

On this full-day tour, your expert private tour guide will escort you to all three for one unforgettable day. Join us for an immersive history lesson that embodies travel as a living classroom.

• Your Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and 9/11 Memorial Museum experience begins when you’re picked up by our professional driver in a private luxury vehicle.

• Your driver will take you downtown to Battery Park where you’ll meet your private, professional tour guide to begin the journey to your first destination.

• Upon your arrival at Battery Park, you’ll board a ferry run by Statue Cruises to head across the New York Harbor for an up close and personal look at Lady Liberty.

• Once on Liberty Island, you’ll get to go inside this magnificent statue where you can access the pedestal for amazing outside views. You’ll also visit the new Statue of Liberty museum where you’ll get a peek at her original torch, an opportunity to measure your foot against Lady Liberties, enjoy an immersive theater experience and learn everything you always wanted to know about this symbol of American freedom.

• After departing Liberty Island your next stop is Ellis Island where over 12 million immigrants arrived on US shores.

• Your Ellis Island tour will consist of a visit to the National Museum of Immigration where you’ll learn about how immigrants were processed as they arrived – and have the opportunity to learn more about your family history.

• After your time on these two islands, you’ll board the ferry for the ride back to Lower Manhattan. Once you have disembarked the ferry your guide will walk you through Battery Park where you’ll continue until you reach the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.

• Here you’ll tour the grounds of the 9/11 Memorial where you’ll encounter the two reflecting pools created to honor those we lost on that fateful day. Among the other things you’ll see are two items that survived the attacks that day - the Survivor Tree (a Callery pear tree) and The Sphere (the world's largest bronze sculpture of modern times).

• After paying your respects on the grounds where the Twin Towers once stood, you’ll head into the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Here you’ll learn the history of not only the 9/11 attacks – but of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing as well. Since private guided tours cannot be conducted within the museum, your private tour guide will give a brief synopsis of what you are about to see before entering the building. Your 9 11 museum tour is surely one you will never forget and a must-do for anyone coming to New York City.

• Upon completion of these three pieces of American history your private driver will pick you up in your luxury vehicle and drop you off at your requested end destination.

New York City: 9/11 Memorial and Museum Tour & One World Observatory Half-Day Experience - 5 Hours

9/11 Memorial and Museum Tour & One World Observatory Half-Day ExperienceHighlights:

The land where NYC’s Twin Towers once stood is now home to a solemn yet beautiful tribute to those that lost their lives that horrific September morning. Our 9/11 Memorial and Museum Tour & One World Observatory half-day experience gives you a glimpse into that morning and those lives, as well as the February 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Your experience starts on the memorial grounds outside of the museum. As you walk through what was once referred to as Ground Zero, you’ll view the twin reflecting pools that sit in the footprints of the former North and South Towers and are surrounded by bronze parapets that list the names of the victims. After you’ve paid your respects, you’ll continue into the 9/11 Museum. For parties of over four guests, prior to entering, your expert tour guide will provide commentary on what you are about to experience. Once inside, they’ll be able to answer one on one questions only. The final part of your tour is your ascension to the top of One World Trade Center – also known as the Freedom Tower - to experience the beautiful One World Observatory observation deck and take in stunning panoramic views.

• Your experience begins when your private luxury vehicle and tour guide pick you up at your hotel to take you to Downtown / Lower Manhattan.

• As you drive towards your destination, your guide will point out popular attractions in the area including the Brooklyn Bridge, Trinity Church, the Oculus, the FDNY Memorial Wall and more.

• Upon arrival at the 9/11 Memorial, you’ll tour the grounds where you’ll encounter the two reflecting pools created to honor those we lost on that fateful day. Among the other things you’ll see are two items that survived the attacks that day - the Survivor Tree (a Callery pear tree) and The Sphere (the world's largest bronze sculpture of modern times).

• You’ll also see the newest addition to the memorial, the 9/11 Memorial Glade. The Glade represents the workers, first responders, survivors and residents who were exposed to harmful toxins and who have died or are currently living with a chronic illness.

• After paying your respects on the grounds where the Twin Towers once stood, you’ll head into the 9/11 Memorial Museum, which is divided into three main exhibitions, located 70 feet underground.
