Avanti DestinationsThis alluring island has something to offer for everyone. Experience both the natural and cultural beauty of this dazzling jewel; abundant pristine beaches, historic architecture, giant Buddhas and quirky museums and shops. Take an adventurous food tour, sampling some of the island's Peranakan-influenced cuisine. Then enjoy a full-day tour to amazing Phi Phi Island, Thailand's island-superstar with stunning rock formations and turquoise waters.
Phuket, the largest island in Thailand, is home to many high-end seaside resorts, spas and restaurants and beaches, sandy on the west and predominantly muddy on the east. The island was once a major trading route and gained its wealth from tin and rubber and now its income is mostly tourist-related. Explore the area on a special full day trip by speed b oat, seeing sites and spending leisure time relaxing, swimming and snorkeling at Khai Nai Island. Your day includes lunch at Koh Panyi, a Muslim village that is built entirely on pillars. For the gourmet, Avanti arranges a cooking class extravaganza which starts at Ka Set Market to pick ingredients. Then on to the cooking school where, under supervision of an experienced local chef, you will learn how to portion and prepare ingredients for five authentic dishes.

PhuketKnown as the "Pearl of Thailand," Phuket offers pristine beaches, lush vegetation, traditional villages and seascapes of huge limestone pillars that rise above the turquoise waters of Phang-Nga Bay. With a culture all its own, it combines Chinese and Portuguese influences with that of indigenous ocean-going people. Phuket Town is the island’s capital located in the southeast. The architecture features the attractive Sino-Portuguese style which is reflected in the spacious residences built by wealthy Chinese tin barons as testimony to their success. Visitors come because of the glorious beaches, especially those on the west coast. Patong Beach is about a 45-minute drive from the port and offers a wide selection of watersports. Phuket still casts its spell on all who come to its shores.
