Through a lifetime of travel (more than 40 countries), I have developed a passion for exploring the world, especially the remote and wild corners of it. I love exotic, active, “adventure” travel and African travel is my specialty. I’ve been to the safari regions of Africa more than 25 times and I’m told my face lights up when I talk about it. From simple self-drives in South Africa to Ultra luxurious private flying safaris, I can do it all. I’m a career travel professional, in the business as an agent and manager for more than 35 years and have been with Wayland Travel and "The Adventure Travel Desk" for much of that time. Wayland/ATD are now part of Frosch VIP Services a division of JPMC but what I do on a daily basis hasn't changed! I believe strongly in agent education and training and hold multiple “Destination Specialist” certifications and the CTC and CTIE (“Certified Travel Industry Executive”) designations from the Travel Institute. Promoting socially and environmentally responsible tourism worldwide is an important focus for me.
